Regarded as one of the most exclusive luxury hotels in Barcelona and as a milestone in sophistication and attention to details, Sofia Hotel offers an incredibly diversified portfolio of priviledged services to its clients. Its massive building contains many locations that differ from eachother thanks to their diverse inspiration, refined style, design and pattern. Built in 1975, and recently renovated, Sofia Hotel offers the traveller everything for a unforgettable stay in Barcelona. Landscape architect Ana Esteva worked out a setting of different groups of vessels to bed the Hotel into a lush and playful field of green. The choice for outdoor spaces relapses on the essential and flawless shapes of white and grey U and UF models in different dimensions, which play the lion share in many outdoor areas of the hotel, such as the restaurant, the spa and the rooftop pool. The peculiar horizontal pattern of UF vases recalls the shade and the motif of the wooden and the opaque, dense materiality of clay mirrors the texture of the cement walls. At the entrance of the elegant restaurant Philosofia they are matched in different shades and sizes and lined with an apparent yet well-thought randomness, as if their aim was that of gently leading and guiding the clients to the right path to enter the restaurant.
